Get to know me
Hi, I’m Viv.
A rural photographer and authentic storyteller based in the mighty Waikato.
I am originally from Germany and was just planning to visit New Zealand for a year on a Working Holiday Visa. That is now about 6 years ago and I’m still here.
My partner is Kiwi and we live on his family dairy farm just outside of Morrinsville.
I’ve done a bit of all sorts since I’ve been here, Dairy Farming, work on a Nutfarm, the list goes on. That’s how I got a good insight into rural life and the sense of community here in New Zealand.
Growing up I always had a passion for photography and that has never changed. The thoughts of freezing a moment in time and capturing images that transport you right back to how that moment felt, is what I love.
I love capturing all emotions, from the big laughs to the seemingly small and quiet moments sitting on the verandah watching the world go by.

This is my partner Andrew, local legend, dairy farmer, marathon runner and all round good sort. There to help absolutely anyone in the community in a heartbeat.
In our spare time, you’ll probably find us doing anything outdoors. Hiking, biking, adventure racing, kayaking…
Meet Flax, Our sweet farm dog, who greets everyone with a smile and loves to think she’s a working dog.
We are quite involved in our community. As part of the local young farmers club, we help out people around the area and made amazing friendships.
